-- CALL FOR PAPERS - Deadline for submissions(second call): 4 September 2006 -- IADIS International Workshop on Risk Management of Internet Computing 2006 (RMIC 2006) Murcia, Spain, 5 October 2006 (http://www.iadis.org/icwi2006/RMIC2006) held in connection with IADIS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE WWW/INTERNET 2006 Murcia, Spain, 5 to 8 October 2006 (http://www.iadis.org/icwi2006) * Workshop Theme There is a modern and identifiable trend for existing systems to migrate towards internet computing platforms. This is done for the obvious benefits such as scalability, globalisation, profitability, communication etc. but there are some associated risks for internet computing. Currently, risk management is treated as a macro-process in that it is often a separate process towards the end of the implementation stage instead of being interwoven into the fabric of modern internet computing projects. In order to ensure a smooth, secure and safe introduction of corporate infrastructure to the internet computing paradigm, certain steps have to be taken from a risk management perspective. This is the goal of this workshop. Against this background we welcome both practitioner and theoretical submissions which address any of the following non-exhaustive areas of interest in the context of internet computing: 1. Innovative risk management methodologies. 2. Application of critique of risk management models. 3. New approaches to modelling risk management 4. Trust issues in internet computing. 5. New directions in modelling risk and trust. 6. Risk assessment metrics. 7. Identity fraud related risks. 8. Policy-making issues. 9. Discussion of approaches to research methods. 10. Change and migration issues 11. Configuration management issues. * Call for Contributions It is expected that papers will be well structured, putting forwards thesis and antithesis of arguments to inform the readers. Authors are asked to have their draft papers peer-reviewed internally in their own establishments before submitting to the workshop committee for final assessment on acceptability. For further clarification please contact Dr George Allan on George.Allan@port.ac.uk who will be pleased to answer any queries. * Important Dates: - Submission Deadline (last call) - 4 September 2006 - Notification to Authors (last call) - 14 September 2006 - Final Camera-Ready Submission and Early Registration (last call) - Until 21 September 2006 - Late Registration (last call) - After 21 September 2006 * Workshop Location The workshop will be held in Murcia, Spain. * Secretariat IADIS Secretariat - IADIS RMIC 2006 Workshop, Rua Sao Sebastiao da Pedreira, 100, 3 1050-209 Lisbon, Portugal E-mail: icwi_sec@iadis.org Web site: http://www.iadis.org/icwi2006/RMIC2006 * Program Committee Workshop Chair Dr George Allan, University of Portsmouth, School of Computing, UK Committee Members: * * for committee list please refer to http://www.iadis.org/icwi2006/RMIC2006
